The Port / El Puerto
A big grain carrier at the Veracruz Port, loads of grain come back and forth, in and out of Veracruz Port every month.
An Oil Tanker docking at the Pemex [Mexican Petroleum Company] dock in a summer evening, Veracruz Port receives crude and petrochemical products from the refineries in Minatitlan and the petrochemical plants in Cangrejera [both in Veracruz State as well] adn from other oil producers countries around the world
At the right the Container Terminal Port with the Portainer Gigantic Cranes, Veracruz bought the first one in 1982, the one in the middle of all five. I used to work there in 1986-87 in the Servicios Portuarios de Veracruz, I was barely married by those days.
The Exportation of automobile and other auto products such as parts, are one of the most active commerce in Veracruz Port, this is a Car-Carrier, can load some 2500 middle size cars, the Volkswagen Plant is very close from Veracruz in Puebla State, some 200 miles away.

The Pemex Tower [Former Banco de Mexico] was built in the 50's, and is one of the most emblematic buildings in the Veracruz Harbor, I used to work there from 1987 to 1991, I really enjoyed all those years, and also, I did my "Servicio Social" [Community Service] there, when I was student of the last year in the University of Veracruz.
This is the "Muelle de la T", the T-Dock, a very popular dock, is away from the Portuary Terminals and is used by fisherman in the mornings and by other kind of ships, like the one in the picture, a grain carrier waiting for its turn in the dock.

Miscelaneous goods carrier at the "Muelle 6" [Dock 6] the dockers work hard for the money, my dad worked as docker for some 14 years, when he passed away he was 66 and about to be retired.

A rainy day at the Harbor
The gigantic blue cranes are at the Veracruz Shipyards [McDermott], I used to work there repeteadely for some years, the last time was in 2003.
Out of the harbor, at the long dock side, some yatchs from the "Club de Yates" [Yatch Club] in Veracruz, Mexico.
